Preface - I am still recovering from my most recent episode of Kleine-Levin Syndrome, and am admittedly not thinking 100% like myself yet. With that said, there is a post that’s been in my head for over a month and I just got the inspiration to write it. Inspiration rarely strikes twice, so I’m gunna give it a go. Click the link above to learn more about the neurological illness I’ve been grappling with since 2011. I don’t talk about it much but it has shaped the direction of my life, for better or for worse.

The Apple Vision Pro (AVP) is a fascinating litmus test for how crowds move. Upon release, it was hard to find anyone saying that the tech was not a game changer. On X, people were losing their minds over the potential for it. But just a handful of weeks later, it seems like shipping the AVP back is the new status symbol. The crowds are saying “we barely knew ya”, with occasional rebuttals from the folks still using the AVP, defending its utility. I don’t know what happened here, but I think it’s a interesting case study on borrowed status.
