RIP Seedscout

Some Quick Hits From The Week

Hi all,

Busy week. Just gonna share a few notes:

First off, I announced that I shut down Seedscout. RIP. Onto the next thing—whatever that ends up being.

Secondly, there’s a new show that I think is kinda interesting called Technology Brothers. It’s basically two tech insiders printing out tweets and talking about them, covering what the “extremely online” crowd might consider important news in tech. Picture two dudes who love America chatting about what’s happening in the startup world—that’s the vibe. The brand is smart, the positioning is funny, and it could end up being something big. Check out their (hilarious) launch trailer here.

Thirdly, a friend of mine launched a storytelling platform for kids called KidsTales on Product Hunt. It’s pretty interesting and super useful for evening story time. What’s cool is that you can create characters who appear in multiple stories. So, AI could generate seven stories to read to my son this week, but his favorite character shows up in all of them. Pretty neat.

Ever since I decided to shut down Seedscout, I’ve had a lot of ideas swirling in my head. It’s hard to know whether to act on any of them or just take a break for a few years and come back later. There’s no right answer, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot. I’m sure it’ll all come together into something special when the time’s right.

That’s it from me. Hope y’all have a great weekend!
