It appears that the AI hype cycle is slowing down. This one started similarly to the web3 one prior, which started similarly to the creator tools one before that. I bet you the AR/VR hype cycle coming in 2024 won’t stray far from this pattern. How do these hype cycles end? Quietly. Capital is still invested into the spaces, but expectations are lowered. The outspoken vocals quiet down. And the drum stops beating so loud. There’s only one hype cycle that will ever stand the test of time; Great founders solving hard problems with relevant technology. Everything else is temporary.
