Founder In The Middle (Of Funding Stages)

100 Words A Day (290)

So many founders make a little progress and aim to raise a small pre-seed with it. They think the little progress warrants them a little funding. When in reality, this is shooting themselves in the foot. Founders should either focus only on relationships/storycrafting and raise a pre-seed on a vision…Or focus on building a great product with promising traction + tell a story on how it could 1000x, and then raise a seed. But this middleground of having a lite product built, a little revenue, and raising pre-seed of less than $1M is not a good place to be in.
